What about no teachers left behind- a lot of schools are cutting costs by getting rid of teachers and that is not helping the children at all!

I think "No Child Left Behind" has been important in forcing schools to provide help to students who previously slip through the cracks. I have older kids (now 23) and a ten year old. My 10 year old recieved reading help in 1st and 2nd grade which helped her reading skills reach grade level. When my boys were in school kids with moderate troubles did not receive help, and I saw kids struggle through school.

They talk about "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND" but yet 40 percent of high school students cannot read on grade level. I know for fact within my home they do not make kids do their home work.. or meet their reading ar goals, as long as they pass the test they pass to the next grade. It should be based more then testing it should be all around school work. They are not worried if their behavior or work is being done. There is more to education then just a test..
