Family Time for Mother's Day

Mother's Day has been hard for me for the past 6 years; this was the day my husband picked to tell me about his extra-martial affair. So to get past this, I have picked to spend this day away from him and with my daughter. I plan a weekend trip for the two of us at a place where she has never been. Then we enjoy planning the trip together and finding things for us to do that we both will enjoy. The whole experience becomes a great bonding experience that I hope she will remember the rest of her life.
