A regular fixture on the red carpet, we know Extra co-host Dayna Devon best for her celebrity interviews and for dishing out the latest entertainment news.

The mom to two little ones, 1 1/2-year old Emmi Reese and 2-month old Cole, I recently caught up with Dayna just days after returning to the Extra set from maternity leave.

Lolita: What's your definition of a Modern Mom?

Dayna: A modern mom is one that on a day to day basis balances kids, work, housework, husband and herself without breaking a sweat.

Lolita: What's your secret to balancing career and family?

Dayna: I try to take it on a minute by minute basis.

Look at what's in front of me and try not to get overwhelmed.

I try not to overreact and deal with every situation with humor (and a lot of humility).

Lolita: What did your parents teach you about parenting?

Dayna: My mom taught me about absolute, unconditional love.

No matter how much I screwed up (and I screwed up a lot) she always loved me.

My dad taught me to react using reason rather than emotion.

Plus they taught me to drink heavily AFTER the kids go to bed. J

Lolita: What do you want to teach your children - Emmi Reese and your newest addition, Cole?

Dayna: I want to help them find their own self esteem, confidence, passion for life, sense of humor and compassion.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I want them to learn that their self worth comes from inside and can't be bought or paid for.

Lolita: What's your favorite family activity?

Dayna: The kids are too young to really have a preference right now so we steer them in the direction of doing physical activity as a family.

We go for walks and runs together.

We spend time at the playground and play with the dogs.

Lolita: Who do you admire most?

Dayna: My Mom!!!

Now that I have two young kids of my own, I realize how hard it must have been for her to raise me and my brother with no time, no money, no housekeeper, no nanny, no helpful websites (like Modern Mom) and fewer resources.

And I think she did a pretty damn good job if I say so myself.

Lolita: What is your greatest achievement?

Dayna: Meeting my husband (renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Brent Moelleken) and marrying him.

Without him, his support and peace of mind, none of this would be possible.

Lolita: What product(s) can't you live without?

Dayna: For the kids I love my Maclaren Stroller and Baby Jogger.

I also love Splendid baby clothes and Mustela baby bath products.

For me, I use Dermystique which is a skin care line that my husband developed.

I have always had problem skin and it was even worse during pregnancy.

I swear by the Dermystique sun screen.

Lolita: What do you do when you're feeling selfish?

Dayna: I eat bad foods but my New Year's resolution was to stop emotional eating.

Now, I try to take naps when I can or go get a facial or a manicure.

A little time away really helps me to restore myself.

Lolita: What's keeping you busy these days?
Dayna: HA!!! Do you really have to ask?
