My five year old, and even my toddler, have become very opinionated about their clothes. In terms of fashion the two of them have just one thing in common; if it were up to them they would wear their pajamas pretty much all day. As a matter of fact, if it were more socially acceptable to wear my pjs around the city, I might too.
Thankfully, Hanna Anderson has come to town. Hannas clothes are made of delicious soft cotton in a rainbow of colors. The kids look adorable, and they feel comfortable and cozy. You may already be familiar with their wonderful mail order catalog, but their new store is beautiful and it makes a big difference to be able to see and touch the fabrics, and more importantly, for my daughter to be able to try them on.
Hanna Anderssons clothes are well made. They last through
tons of washings, and they actually get softer and softer over
time. They are hearty and made with kids in mind. I am
continually frustrated by childrens clothing styles which seem
to be getting more and more sophisticated (and frankly for
little girls downright racy) by the minute. Hannas clothes are
lovely and tasteful and made for kids to play in, and they will
look like children, not some scary Vogue
want-to-be at five years old.
A mom, Hanna Andersson, of course, started the company, but the original Hanna was the founders Swedish grandmother. Many of their clothing items are made of organic cotton, which is good for the environment. They support many childrens charities. The clothes are not inexpensive, but the quality is high. They last, and they are guaranteed. If there is anything wrong with them you can return them at any time for a replacement or a refund.
So buckle up, and go to Topanga. The Hanna Andersson store is located in the fancy Westfield Mall right near a Target, a childrens play area, and an indoor merry go round!
