Is your New Years resolution to lose your baby weight? Then Stroller Strides is your answer, this program provides fitness for mom and fun for baby. This program is perfect for new moms who want to not only get in shape but meet other new moms in their community.
This class really is for anyone, regardless of your fitness level. Stroller Strides provides you with a 50 minute work out consisting of power walking and followed by 10 minutes of toning using your stroller and exercise tubing. The classes are taught by certified instructors. All you need is you, your baby, and your stroller. Of course, you'll want to bring water and a towel or mat. They do recommend that you wait until your baby is six weeks old.
According to Stroller Stride Instructor, Ina Weiskopf, One of my favorite compliments came from one of my moms, during a class she said she wanted to thank me for she then flexed her tricep and then told me she hadn't seen that muscle for a long time!
It's winter in Chicago, but that still doesn't stop Stroller Strides, Laura Zukosky teaches classes six days a week in the mall, park district and in a roller rink. This class isn't just for moms - according to Laura she has dad and grandparents in her classes.
