Real World Performance

If it weren't for reduced trips to the gas station, it would be easy to forget that you're driving a hybrid. Power, acceleration and braking rival its non-hybrid peers and, like the other RX models, the 400h offers a smooth, fun drive.

In the storage department, if you've got a large luxury stroller to match the luxury SUV, you'll fill up the trunk space pretty quickly leaving little room for much else. The rear seats fold down providing plenty of space for larger loads - but those trips will have to be taken without the kids in tow.

Comfort

All the bells-and-whistles that make the RX 400h worthy of its luxury status -- leather seats, sliding second row, standard navigation system, one-touch rear hatch and ample seating room certainly do deliver the ultimate in comfort and ease.

Sliding second row seats are perfect for when you need the kids within arm's reach or when more legroom is necessary for full-grown backseat passengers.

What I Liked Best: The model I tested came equipped with a DVD entertainment system that wassimple to control from the driver's console. The standard rear back-up camera is a nice touch to ensure you don't ding your $40,000+ ride.
