Interested in making slime, seeing robot demonstrations, or designing bridges and helicopters? Coming in February, children ages 5-13 can do it all at what has been described as one of the most spectacular structures in Washington, the National Building Museum.
Have a budding architect, designer, or engineer on your hands? Children will have the opportunity to meet with engineers and realize how to turn their ideas into reality. Digit from PBSs Cyberchase will be in attendance for some photo opportunities along with the cast members from the new PBS series Design Squad.
Did you know the Museum hosts family programs on most weekends? Pay a visit to the National Building Museum and give your youngster the opportunity to enhance their math, science, and art skills with a hands-on approach. The museum has teamed with the Department of Education and other state and local groups to create an award winning youth education program with activities for children 2 and up.
Admission is free for this event, but a $5 donation is suggested.
