Tide's newest product, Pure Essentials(TM), combines natural cleaners - such as baking soda and citrus extracts - with light scents for powerful stain fighting and optimal freshness.
We put it to the Modern Mom Test to see how well it worked on our toughest laundry jobs.
After a fun-filled - and messy - day at a local farm for a Harvest Festival, my boys (and I) came home covered in dirt, mud and a sticky-combination of sno-cone drippings and candied apple remnants all over their tops. The day's biggest casualty was my youngest son's favorite blanket, which had lined the wagon that he rode in -- along with our freshly-picked pumpkins, the scarecrows they made and more. His blanket soaked up a spilled sno-cone, was spattered with mud and my eldest son decided to wipe off his face-paint with it too.
So, after getting home, I put the boys in the bath and threw their grimy clothes and blanket in the wash with the recommended amount of Tide Pure Essentials with Baking Soda (because it's concentrated, the load required half the amount of regular Tide). I anticipated having to run the blanket through at least twice, but to my surprise, everything came out fresh and perfectly clean the first time - not a single drop of grime or blue sno-cone juice remained.
And, the White Lilac scent is lovely - not at all overwhelming.
Overall, I'm more than pleased with this newest version from Tide...not only does it pack a powerful cleaning punch, but I love that a little goes a long, long way.
