Who doesn't love making things out of play dough?

You'll need:

  • Red and pink play dough
  • Pencil
  • String
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Wax paper

Here's what you do:

Show your child how to make heart shapes and any other shape they like out of the play dough. Help him poke a hole at the top of the shape with the pencil. Let the shapes dry completely. When dry, thread the string or a pipe cleaner through the hole to make a necklace or a bracelet.

Homemade Craft Dough

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon food coloring

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Add food coloring until you reach the desired color. Store in an airtight container.
