When you don't plan your pregnancy it can't go as planned. Of course every mother wants a healthy baby. I did everything on my end to see that would happen. I ate healthy, saw my doctor regularly, and prayed that all would be well with my new baby.
When he was born by C-Section. I didn't hear him cry for several seconds. Then finally he cried a weak cry and they showed him to me and whisked him out of the room. For the next 24 hours he was given 50/50 odds of making it. I even had a priest out to have him baptized. Within an hour of that act his vitals took a sudden shift for the better. They informed me that he would make it. I wound up leaving the hospital two weeks before he did. He is fine now and I am blessed beyond measure that he is mine.

Had everything planned, go to the hospital, have baby, all's good, right? Ummm, no. Instead, hubby forgot to put gas in suburban. 2 am we head up to the hospital, contractions 5 minutes apart, strong, run out of gas 2 MILES from the hospital. Spend the next 2 hours walking to the hospital stopping every couple minutes to scream. Finally get there, contractions 2 minutes apart, 60% effaced, dilated to 3cm, 6th baby, all ready to go. Yeah, right. They gave me 2 vicodin, sent me home and refused to keep me no matter what I said. Got home, screamed for another hour and a half and had my daughter on the futon in my living room with a dozen firefighters and paramedics in attendance. Definitely NOT how I had that planned...lol

:"My Little Angel Of Love"
I gave life to a precious angel just a few short days ago
I love her more than life itself but I loved her enough to let her go
For two short days I held her close in a warm loving embrace
Those beautiful moment in which we bonded my mind will never erase
God gave me a Christian couple who can take care of her every need
My eyes will always be streaked with tears; my heart will forever bleed
If I could have just one wish, our paths will cross again
But I'll hold her close in my heart and love her in silence until then
I know I did the right thing
I'm at peace with the Lord above
And I know he'll always be watching over

What a wonderful story. Life is full of scheduling and we all make things in our life harder than it should be by scheduling even potty breaks. However, the best gifts are the unexpected miracles that happen when we least expect them and are often most stressed. This is life's way of saying everything will work out fine if we let life take it's normal course of action and not get too over stressed about the outcome. These are the moments I cherish most in my life.

Sometimes things work out best when they don't work out the way we had them planned. God works in mysterious way.

My husband and I were shocked to hear we were to have twins for our third/fourth children. We do not have twins on either side of the family and I was not over 35. Twin A was breech so a C-section was necessary. My husband and I arrived at the hospital a rushed and a little late but they were still accommodating. However, the hospital was completing renovations and placed me in a room the size of a closet that was very warm for my epideral in my back. While waiting I went into labor and was having painful contractions. I was told to be very still and don't move for the shot. In the background I heard a nurse speaking to my husband and asking if he was okay. She then said let's get you in a chair quickly just in time to catch my fainting husband. After my C-section my oldest child came to visit. Within a few moments, he turned pale and green. I made the mistake of asking if he was okay. Instead he landed at the end of my bed. I tried to catch him but still had a catheter in my arm.
