Clean Your Home in Just Minutes a Day
Great article and very helpful! I am a disabled mom so I am always looking for ways to clean without wearing myself off and it taking half a day to do a small area! Thanks so much!!!

secret: clutter and organization don't end with parenthood. Maw Maw's constantly create new ways to declutter and have fun with 3 precious grandchildren as well. Its worth it. I am blessed.

That was a great article. Such simple things to do if you think of it. I especially liked the ending, taking the time to teach you pre-schooler not to burp at the dinner table. LOL

As a working mother of twins, I find myself letting stuff pile up. Not on purpous but just cause I get busy. These sound like some good ideas that would work for me. I just need to get the major stuff done first. Maby I can even get my husband involved. LOL that might take a little more work.

We just got one of those robot vacuum cleaners (the most popular brand). They're normally very expensive, but we found one on sale for under $100. It was totally worth it -- even though it's not the most powerful vacuum, it actually does a pretty good job because it runs over each area multiple times, and using it often is much more appetizing than having to push a regular vacuum all the time. Plus it's rather quiet. Not to mention it's fun to watch our new "pet" do his job! Helps get our 2-year-old to clean up his toys so the robot can run.

When I was a young mother of 5 busy kids, I learned to do the most dreaded job of the day first. I also trained myself to do it as quickly as possible. The rest of the day seemed less taxing if I had the biggest or "baddest" job out of the way. I also made bed making the job of each child. I made it easier by eliminating the top sheet for little ones and replacing bedspreads with cozy but washable comforters.

An advantage to having a really small house - it takes less time to clean! To keep on top of things I dust when I'm on the phone or put on some energetic music to make it bearable, and I try to keep clutter at at minimum always.
