  • The egg noodles were great! I made the recipe with chicken. I'd like to try the tofu next -- I suspect my pan isn't big enough though and that's giving me anxiety. I aspire to make most of the other recipes soon!

I'd love to see a crockpot recipe. Mostly, I confess, because I just acquired one and am looking for tasty things to toss into it...

  • The Cranberry Upside Down Cake, Gingerbread, and The Egg Noodles with Ham and Peas are some of new family favorites! I hope to see more soups in the future but so far I have enjoyed the variety you have provided us.

  • I used to make Dutch Babies all the time when I was younger and they were always flat, flat, flat in the center. Thanks for the tip!

What kind of kosher salt do you use? Morton or Diamond? Cook's Illustrated says there is a difference in measuring -- if you use Morton then I will increase the amount a bit for Diamond.

  • We make pannekoeken at least one Saturday out of the month. It replaces the dearly-beloved standard pancake recipe on especially calm, cool mornings. Here's my suggestion for making it *that* much more delectable: sprinkle the melted butter with some brown sugar (and cinnamon, if you like) crumbles. If you're really frisky, add some thinly sliced apples, and then pour on the batter. If you're going to cut down the butter intake, you might as well up the sugar. And hey, if it involves real fruit? Then it's almost good for you.

  • You're the second blogger I read who has made this in the last week. I think the blogosphere is telling me to make it also. It looks great.

  • I couldn't imagine this with a full stick of butter! Well, I could, but......

My kids love a good breakfast. Believe it or not, cereal (like your granola) is a treat for them on the weekends; during the week I'm a short order breakfast cook because I want them off to school with full bellies. I could do this while packing lunches before I rouse them and I have a feeling they will nominate me for mother-of-the-year. I'll be sure to give you a shout out in my acceptance speech.
