My Story
I can't recall the year that this was taken, but I do recall that the glasses I was wearing were not part of my mother's concoction. I snuck the glasses to school with me and put them on for the picture. The glasses were taken from a puppet that my mother gave me. The striped shirt and hat were my moms idea, and yes, the hat was very fashionable at the time. The hair was also my mothers great idea in attempts to make me fashionable, as perms were totally in! Notice the dental floss that ties the peace sign to my neck. The green sweater was a last minute item, not approved by my mom, and not inteded for the ensamble. I think I forgot to take it off for the picture....but needless to say, this is an outfit that I was proud of, and I can only give my mom half the credit (I think she would have prefered me to wear the jean jacket instead of the sweater.)
Contest Tips & Guidelines
- If you need to scan your photo, scan in 300 dpi resolution.
- Select only the area you want to scan- don't select white space.
- If you do not have a scanner, you can find one at your public library, copy center, or local retail store with photo services.
- Center your photo as best as possible as we will need to crop the image to a square for the site.
- Upload a horizontal or vertical photo. If you crop the image yourself, make sure you keep a square form.
- For best results, make your image 400 pixels x 400 pixels at 72 dpi (or "save for web").
- Tell your friends and family about your entry and tell them to vote for you! Post a link to your entry on your social networking sites, blogs, etc.
