My Story
Into Grandpa's care I left you,
The perfect buddy for you, it's true.
Grandpa and Amelia, the twosome will be,
The perfect pair for all to see.
Then it happened on that fateful day,
Grandpa said a beautician Mom must not pay.
He could do the job just as well,
And without any training, no one could tell.
Amelia in a chair, sitting so quiet,
Grandpa with scissors, ready to try it.
Amelia turned her head as he began,
Then came off her bangs with a slip of his hand.
Realizing his situation, in a panic was he,
Shorter and shorter, the bangs got to be.
Despite his best efforts to even them out,
Fiercely determined not to make her Mom shout.
Amelia still loves her Grandpa, I'm proud to say,
As for me, I don't care to remember that day.
Grandpa's words of wisdom got me back on track,
"Don't worry, My Dear, her hair will grow back."

Contest Tips & Guidelines
- If you need to scan your photo, scan in 300 dpi resolution.
- Select only the area you want to scan- don't select white space.
- If you do not have a scanner, you can find one at your public library, copy center, or local retail store with photo services.
- Center your photo as best as possible as we will need to crop the image to a square for the site.
- Upload a horizontal or vertical photo. If you crop the image yourself, make sure you keep a square form.
- For best results, make your image 400 pixels x 400 pixels at 72 dpi (or "save for web").
- Tell your friends and family about your entry and tell them to vote for you! Post a link to your entry on your social networking sites, blogs, etc.
