Tell Your Christmas Story

It all started with scratch marks on my neck from Heidi's claws. She did not want to be left on that man's lap!!! We let cousin Kinsey go next, to show Heidi it was safe. It didn't work. More claw marks as we tried to get a picture of Heidi and Kinsey together. Not even the candy offered by Grandma could get Heidi on his lap. Aunt Carrie snapped this Norman Rockwell-esque photo, which Grandma now has enlarged and hanging in her house at Christmas time. It is now one year later and we tried to get Heidi to sit on Santa's lap again this year, thinking now that she knows he's the one who brings the presents she'd do it. Nope. Though this year I'm pretty sure it was the obstinance that comes with being two years old and not fear. As you can see in her eyes in the picture here, it was simple fear last year!!!
