My son Rene was so scared of Santa, I had to stand between him and Santa just so I could get his first actual picture with Santa, with tears and all.

Tell Your Christmas Story

My favorite memory from this picture of my son was taken in 1998 for his 2nd Christmas. He was only a month old for his first Christmas so I knew he would not have much of a memory sitting on Santa's lap, so I was rather excited to see him take his first picture with Santa and to see the look of happiness on his face. I thought since he had turned 1, he would not be scared but I was wrong. When Santa tried to hold him he stared crying and kicking so finally I had to hold him down and take the picture with him and even then he still would not stop crying until I had to actually stand in between him and Santa. Then he finally stopped crying long enough to take the picture, but even then you can still see the tears roll from his face, I will never forget the look on his face that day when he saw Santa for the first time even if he did cry.
