This was a Santa trip we will never forget!We waited a week before Christmas to take our daughter to the mall to see Santa Clause,we did this purposely so the experience would be fresh in her mind in time for Christmas.Well our daughter is 1 and a half,but she knows about Santa because we had made this year so special decorating and telling her about Jesus being born and the meaning of Christmas...well the best you can tell a one year old,and we also told her about Santa and rented her favorite kid's shows Christmas Movies and specials that related to Santa.We even taught her his name.So her meeting Santa we thought would be great.WRONG!We got to the mall around 5pm on the Friday before Christmas,,I did this because I knew that everyone would just be getting off of work for the holiday break and we could beat the crowd.Arriving at Santa's Spot at 5:15pm...I could see NO LINE TO SEE SANTA.My husband and I could'nt believe it.Then we got a little closer and saw the sign...SANTA GONE..WILL RETURN 6pm.So we waited and thank goodness we did because the line built up quickly.Then we discovered the girl that was working was evidentely new and told us the wrong spot to stand... we could also see that where the real line was there were already about 4 people ahead of us.But it was OK,atleast we were not to far behind.Well needless to say waiting in line with a one year old for 45 minutes is not easy.By the time Santa arrived and it was our turn she was not having it.I literally had to hold her up there to snap the picture.It was so scary for her because when she finally sat in his lap she was very cranky and not in to being away from Moma and Daddy, not even for Santa!
