Terror-ific Kids' Costume Contest
Robin Hood
- Contest Photo by: tommieandole
- Rosemount, MN
- Category: Creative Creatures
Brief Description:
This year, my 3 year old was having a very difficult time deciding on a costume. After about 15 or so times of him coming to me & saying "Mom, I changed my mind". I took him to the fabric store & we looked through a couple pattern books. I realized as we were doing this that he wanted a cape & a hat. Ultimately, he decided on Robing Hood because the hat had a feather in it.
Materials:
The bow, arrows & leggings are store bought. He's wearing hand-made(not by us) moccassins that we recently bought as a souvenir item while camping in Northern MN. The hat, cape &
shirt were sewn. I used Butterick pattern 4319. The fabric is a shirting fabric, cotton-poly blend.

Time to Create:
It took approx 4 hours to make.
Contest Photo Tips and Guidelines:
- Avoid clutter. Keep the background simple -- your gingerbread house or holiday cookie is the star!
- Daytime, natural light is best. If your area is bright enough, try taking the photo without the flash.
- Upload a horizontal photo. If you crop the image on your computer, make sure you keep a landscape 4:3 aspect ratio.
- For best results, make your image 1200x900 (or "save for web").
- With a digital camera, you can take as many photos as possible and choose the best one. Have fun!
