Preserve Triple Razors

# 9 of 15:  Preserve Triple Razors

The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that each year 2 billion plastic razors end up in landfills. So, reduce where you can with your razor choice. After its useful life through many razor blades, throw the handle in your recycling bin or send back to the company (for free with a postage-paid label found online) to be recycled into a park bench or deck.

It is a real shame that most of theses green products are so expensive. $15 for a bottle? Multiply that by the number of family members! Maybe you should feature items that have a sustainable price tag. I just bought (at a super-store) all 4 of us reusable aluminum water bottles (exactly the same specs as the bottle shown here but 20 oz.) for LESS than the cost of ONE Klean Kanteen. I think it is irresponsible for these companies to price-gouge under the auspices of "being green."

I use homemade cleaning products - and purchase resusable shopping tote bags for department stores and grocery stores.

I bring my reusable water bottle everywhere so I never have to use a disposable cup. But the aluminum ones like the picture above are too small for me. And I've started keeping spare reusable shopping bags in my car in case I make an un-planned trip to the market so I don't have to use their plastic bags.
