On the reusable water bottles-as long as you use water bottles that are meant to be reused you are okay. Look for stainless steel or if you use plastic bottles look for the #5 recycle code on the bottom. They are made of polypropylene- a safe plastic. Avoid reusing bottles with a #1 or #7 recycle code on the bottom, as those could leach BPA. NEVER reuse the bottle your bottle water came in-those are intended for one-use only.
Reusable bottles are a great for the environment and for your budge, just make sure you do your research to keep your family safe. Google "plastic leaching water bottles" for more info. By the way, I found my reusable bottles at reusablebags.com. You can also find them at Whole Foods.

I save on the little things like a very picky four year old who only wants the "Crustable PB&J's". I have a small bowl that cuts the sandwiches into the perfect size and make them by the loaf and freeze. I buy the bread each week on 1/2 off day at the bread store and it holds well. Also, buying snacks in bulk, such as large containers of animal crackers/gold fish is great and I just make little baggies full and put in the snack drawer as well as yogurt in the pint size as opposed to the individual ones and more. Eating out is expensive but we all love pizza night so I make it at home on little pop open biscuits or w/ bread dough and it works just as well. The kids can join in and help add their favorite toppings and everyone is happy.
So these things might not save you tons but it adds up fast. :)

Hi!! Just a word of Caution, I have read recently that refilling Water Bottles and leaving them in the car for future use should not be done!! There is toxins in the bottles and when they are heated for any length of time, the toxins are released into the water in the bottles. Studies have shown the toxins are linked to Breast Cancer in Women. Thought I would let you know.

We make sure to take re-filled bottles of water with us in the car. This saves us having to buy $1.50 drinks at the gas stations (A family of 4 can save $6 each trip!). This is great, too when stopping at fast food drive-throughs. I've fed six people on $12 at Wendy's ordering from the .99 menu! Just packing a lunch rather than going out each day can save $30-$50 per week, too. Saving up errands and doing them all at once on one day can also save lots of gas (and time!). We also hang all of our shirts rather than drying them. They last much longer, and we save from using the dryer less.

I have been dropping change everyday. I got my kids to start doing the same thing. The bag we are using is easily located so even my 7 year old can find pennies and drop them in. The last time we did this We managed to save 800 dollars in just 7 mos. WOW! I could not believe it!

i agree with this article except for some of the information shared in the insurance portion of this article. Here in Ohio I do not see the really big savings going to a thousand dollar deductible. The big savings is going to a five hundred dollar deductible. I advise all my clients that they should never go below five hundred. The ten dollar savings is not worth the extra five hundred in your deductible.
