Design a modern Halloween tablescape with these easy DIY ideas and items from around your home. Whether you're hosting a Halloween dinner party or simply want to decorate your table for fright night, this is sure to make your home look spooktacular!
You'll need:
- A Black Table Cloth
- A piece of modern decorative fabric cut to a large square (black & white striped, polka dots, or other modern Halloween fabric will do)
- An Iron
- Cake Stand
- Black & White Plates (plastic or paper is fine)
- Silver Chargers (optional)
- Orange Paper or Cloth Napkins
- Black Ribbon
- Six 8 oz Tomato Sauce Cans
- One 28 oz Can of Whole or Pureed Tomatoes
- White Paper & Ink Jet Printer
- Double Stick Tape or Glue Dots
- Orange Flowers
- Creepy crawly items like spiders, crows, fake snakes and flies.
- Small Pumpkins (optional)
- Six Tea Candles
- One Silver or Black Pipe Cleaner
Use your decorative fabric square as a table runner to jazz up your plain black table cloth. For an easy no-sew option, just fold under the edges.
Now iron the folded edges down and place diagonal in the center of the table.
Decorate the table with your plates and creepy crawly Halloween items. I used silver chargers, white plates and $4.99 plastic Damask dessert plates from Hobby Lobby. Pumpkins are cute decor on top of plates if you just plan on decorating and not actually eating from this table.
Tie black ribbons around orange napkins for simple napkin rings.
