12. Give to Others
The holiday season is a great time to do good for those we love, but it's also a great time to show kids the value of doing good for those we've never met. Engage your kids in the giving process by asking them what causes they care about most. Try to match your holiday contribution, the giving of your money or time, with a cause that matters to your kids. In addition to local gift drives or food banks, there are many websites, like holidaygiving.org (presented by the United Nations Foundation) that make giving easy and accessible to all.
