"Shop Vac Costume"

Costume Instructions

Costume Materials
Collapsible/Pop up laundry basket
Velcro strips
Shop Vac box or decals printed out saying "Shop Vac"
Scissors
Toy/real vacuum cleaner hose and attatchement
Tape (duct tape works well)
Sweat Suit that is close to the color of the laundry basket
Cardboard square that is 1-2 inches bigger than the diameter of the hose

Costume Instructions
1)On the bottom of the laundry basket, cut an "x". This is the hole for the head to go through, so make it big enough for the head, but not so big that it falls down over the shoulders. To prevent ripping and making the hole bigger, you may want to put a small piece of duct tape at the very end, but not on the "x" to reinforce the shoulder area.
2)Now cut two arm holes on the sides of the laundry basket. You will need to measure to see aproximately where the arms should go since this is different for everybody.
3)Cut a hole in the front of the laundry basket towards the bottom for the hose. This one should be snug enough for the hose to fit securely.
4)Next, place the velcro strips on the back of the decals and on the laundry basket. Put these decals onto the laundry basket. If you have more than one, you can put them on the front and the back.
5)Now cut a hole in the card board the size of the vacuum hose.
6)Put the hose through the hole in the laundry basket prior to attaching the cardboard close to the end of the hose with duct tape. Be sure to securely fasten the cardboard to the inside of the laundry basket with tape.
7)Finally, put the costume on and have FUN!
