I am an older lady who doesn't see as well as she used to. I have a pet Dog and she became lost one afternoon. I sat down on the couch to watch my soaps and I haven't seen her since. I was getting worried so I decided to make up a LOST DOG sign and walk around the neighborhood.

I went to the local GoodWIll and purchased my dress, shoes and stuffed animal dog. Added a grey granny wig and some funny glasses. I took a picture of the stuffed dog to make the LOST SIGN and taped a paint stick on the back. I wrapped my body in a fleece blanket and stuffed my buns with couch pillows, put on some knee hi's and lots of make-up.

I had lots of fun with this costume, I played the part, Kids and adults would say "Your dog is behind you!", so I would turn around and say "WHERE? I Can't see her!" "Please, Don't tease me like that!" I like to make people smile, I know Halloween is supposed to be scary, but I'd rather make people laugh and smile than be scared!

Costume Instructions

Prep Time: aprox. one hour

Costume Materials
-Granny looking Dress, Shoes, and Grey wig.
-Knee hi socks
-Stuffed animal dog
-Fleece lap blanket
-Two couch pillows
-Bright red lip stick, bright blue eye shadow, red blush
-Funny pop bottle plastic glasses
-Digital camera picture of stuffed dog printed out on paper saying LOST DOG over picture
-Sewing needle and white thread
-Wooden paint mixing stick
-boxer shorts
-Marker

Costume Instructions
Make a Lost Dog sign by taking a picture of your Stuffed dog. Tape the paint stick on the back. Put on the boxer shorts and stuff your buns with the pillows, put on the dress and find the place on the dress where the dog will go, mark the spot. Remove the dress. Using the needle and thread, Stich the stuffed dog in the center on the outside of the dress, make it streached out like it was "Sat ON". Wrap your body with the fleece blanket and put on the dress, socks, and shoes. Using the make-up, put it on heavy! Put on the wig and glasses and grab your sign.
