"Bug Zapper Costume"

Costume Materials
Several rubber bugs, hot glue, 2 cardboard boxes, foam cushion, neon yellow spray paint, black spray paint, chicken wire, strobe light, noise making magnets, tape, aluminum foil.

Costume Instructions
Cut a hole in the cardboard box large enough to fit the child's head through. Cut out a large square in front and in back of the box & then cut out arm holes on the sides. Paint the box black. Tape the chicken wire to cover the front and back holes. Use hot glue to help secure. Cut cardboard pieces to create design on top of bottom box and paint black. Cut a hole in top cardboard to be able to see out. Use hot glue to attach several bugs to the costume.
Use aluminum foil to create a circle that can be taped to the top of the costume.
Paint the foam yellow.
Tape the strobe light to the child's shirt, then wrap and tape the foam over the strobe light. Place the boxes on the child. Throw the magnets in the air together to make a sound that is very similar to bugs being zapped!
