Costume Materials
2 cardboard boxes,aluminum foil, hot glue sticks,tape, orange and black paint, silver pencil, yellow pom pom, styrofoam square, silver glitter paint, several light weigh and cheap stuffed animals, 2 strobe lights, industrial strength velcro, a stuffed animal mask, small box, # 2 and 5 stickers, mirrored stars, wire hanger, 3 light sticks, black gloves, black pants, and black, shirt.
Costume Instructions
Get 2 cardboard boxes that are the correct size for your child. Tape the bottom of one box to reinforce the strength then cut a hole in the middle where the head would go through. Cut the flaps off of the opposite side. Cut arm holes in the sides of the box. Paint the box black and glue mirrored stars on front and back for decoration. Cut out squares in each of the 4 sides of the 2nd box. Tape box ends closed and cut hole in the bottom large enough for the child's head to fit through. Paint the box orange and glue mirrored stars to decorate. Use the hot glue gun to glue stuffed animals around the top so they won't fall out. Tape a strobe light to the top box. Paint the stryrofoam square and hot glue it to the bottom box. Glue the smaller box to the styrofoam to represent a coin slot. Stick the pencil in the top of the styrofoam and glue the yellow pom pom to it. Cut 3 strips of aluminum foil and bend them to the shape of a claw. Cut a piece of the wire hanger and glue the aluminum foil claws to it. Then stick the hanger through the top of the box and tape it. Cut a hole in the bottom of the black box and hang a stuffed prize in the hole. Tape light sticks around the sides of the hole so taht they will light up the area. Put child in the boxes and place the mask on his head so he blends into the other stuffed animals!
