"Washer, Dryer & Laundry Basket Costume"

Costume Instructions

Costume Materials
-2 Large boxes from grocery store
-White paper (I used tissue)
-Black & Silver Markers
-Plastic zipper food storage bag
-Two 4inch plastic food serving containers from local party supply store
-Copy of logo from favorite washer/dryer manuf.
-Empty laundry soap container
-Water & soap
-Empty dryer sheeet container
-Various lightweight clothing items ( I used socks, tees and undies)
-Heavy duty clear packing tape
-Plastic laundry basket from dollar store
-White rope
-Needle and thread

Costume Instructions
Make holes in boxes for arms and head. Make hole to fit plastic containers in fronts. Cover with white paper with tape. Fill one plastic bag ~half full with water and soap and place bright colored sock inside. Secure with tape to the inside of the plastic container. Place in front of one box and secure with tape. For dryer, fill plastic container with some clothes and a dryer sheet. Secure with tape and secure in box with tape. Decorate with markers to add knobs and add logo. Secure soap container and dryer sheet box to top of respective appliances with tape. For laundry basket, cut hole in bottom and secure rope to basket to make a harness. Secure various clothing items to basket with a needle and thread. You can add padding to ropes for added comfort. My kids were the hit of Halloween in our neighborhood! Have fun!
