"The Spa-Greta Family Costume"

Costume Instructions

Costume Materials
1 Red fleece bunting outfit (our's was a 0-6 months size)
1 Red elastic headband
1 Large metal serving bowl
1 skein of yarn, off-white color
1 roll of thread in brown
1 package puff balls in brown (available @ a craft store)
1 needle (w/eye-hole large enough for yarn to fit through)
1 Chef's hat
1 White jacket (chef's jacket)
1 Dress shirt and bow tie (waiter's outfit)
1 white cloth diaper (waiter's towel)
1 creative Aunt (to think up the idea)
1 Grammy with hands that never tire (to sew on the 'noodles' & 'meatballs')
1 Good-natured baby

Costume Instructions

Begin by cutting strands of yarn for the noodles, approximately 12-24 inches in length. Thread these yarn pieces through the eye of the needle and sew them through the red fleece outfit in various spots, leaving a long tail of thread visible on the outside of the outfit. Repeat this step multiple times until you are happy with your noodle to sauce ratio. Next, take the brown thread and needle and sew the brown puff balls onto the suit. This will add 'meatballs' to your sauce. For the finishing touches, sew a few noodles and meatballs onto the red headband. Our daughter was content to be carried around in the large serving bowl...she actually seemed to enjoy it!
