"The Frankensteins Costume"

Costume Materials
Frankenstein: A suit, 1 wig, 1 paper chef hat to glue hair onto, small amount of latex for extra skin,small amount of green make-up, black eye-liner pencil for face, extra material to sew on bottom of pant legs, frankenstein shoes which were made with plywood, 2x4's, black paint and hiking shoes screwed onto plywood. Frankenstein slipped his feet into the hiking shoes which you couldn't see under the pants. All you could see was the black painted frankenstein shoes. The shoes added about 20 inches of height.
The brides: 1 paper chef hat, glue, 1 bag of batting, black spray paint, small amount of white make-up, black eye liner pencil, red lipstick, 4 yards of material for dress and 1 yard for wrapping on arms.
Egor: 2 yards of brown material, 2 sets of tights, one brown, one off white (worn together) 1 wig, 1 bald hair cap to glue hair onto, latex for skin, make-up (olive green and gray)
Frankenmut: 2 yards of fur material, set of horns, bolts, make-up, brown, gray, black and white.

Costume Instructions
Frankenstein: Suit was bought at a rummage sale. The arms were shortened, material was sewn onto bottom pant legs to cover plywood and 2x4's from the shoes. Hiking boots were screwed onto plywood. A paper chefs hat was cut in half and black hair from a wig was glued onto the hat and the front was painted green. Latex was added to face to make a big forehead, green make-up was applied and black eye liner was added for wrinkles and shawdows. Bolts was glued onto the sides on the neck with spirit gum glue.
The Brides: 4 yards of material to make the dress. We didn't have a pattern. We wrapped the dress around the person, sewed it and then sewed two bands of material from front to back to hold the dress up. Gloves for hands and gauzy material ( 1 yard) was cut into 3 inch stripes and used to wrap arms. 1 paper chef hat for the big bride. White batting was glued to the hat and then sprayed black. White batting was added up the sides. For small bride a black winter hat was bought and we glued batting all over it and sprayed it black then added white batting up the sides. Small bride used 1 yard of material for the dress. We didn't have a pattern so we traced around her body and sewed the material together for the dress.
Egor: 3 yards of brown material. We didn't have a pattern so we traced around his body and sewed a "dress". The bottom was cut into zig zag. A rope was tied around the waist and a couch pillow was added in the back. He wore brown tights with off white tights over the brown and gray slip on shoes. A bald cap was bought and a blond wig. The blond wig was cut and glued to the bald cap. Latex as added to his face for the extra skin and over the bald cap so it all blended. Make-up was applied (olive green, gray and white).
Frankenmut: 2 yards of furry material. We didn't have a pattern so we traced around a shirt and around pants to make the pattern. We cut ears and tails and stuffed them with batting matterial. We sewed the ears onto a headband. Horns were bought from the store and same with the bolts. Brown, green and black make-up were applied.
Small Frankenstein: Made a paper circle and glued the circle. Glued black hair from a wig onto circle. Painted circle green.
