Costume Instructions
Han Solo: Brown Pants and Vest with a off white shirt and belt. We had most of these items, the vest and belt we also found a Goodwill.
Queen Amidala: OK this was the tricky one... I used an old 80s style shirt and skirt I found at Goodwill for 2.00. I sewed up the sides and cut off the skirt so it would fit my 4-year-old. I used a old pair of brown corduroy pants for the trim. I cut it into strips and sewed long tubes that I stuffed with batting. The collar is made of felt and I used glitter and a few pieces of yellow yarn for the details. I made the head dress out of more of brown corduroy pants I used on the trim. I cut a moon shape and stuffed it with batting. The gold hat was made out of metallic paper and the jewels (we happened to have in our craft box) I glued this all together and strapped it to her head.
Jedi Knight: Tan sweat pants and brown shirt we found at Goodwill with some strips of brown fabric draped over his shoulders and a belt tied around his waist. I used a large brown table cloth we also found at Goodwill for the cape. The Light Saber we bought at Target.
Yoda: I know, I know the ears are a little big but they look sooo cute. I made them out of an old green t-shirt with some wire and stuffing to give to make them stand out. For the rest his costume he wore a pair of green sweats and a grey shirt and I made a simple cape out of tan fabric. He could have worn a tan hoodie sweat shirt insead of the cape.
OK, I think that is about it. We made one trip to Goodwill and spent about 10.00 as well as about 2 hours of cutting, sewing and gluing
