"Sponge Bob and Patrick Costume"

Costume Materials
Sponge Bob, bought 2 squares of foam, felt, blue, white and black, felt pens, red and blue, yellow dye, yellow and brown paint and some fabri-tac glue. Purchased the brown shorts, white and yellow shirt, white socks and white tights.
For Patrick I bought pink and green blanket material, a little stuffing for the head of the starfish, foam flowers, purple paint, pink thread, zipper, and fabri-tac glue.

Costume Instructions
Painted the foam yellow, let dry, cut it out to resemble sponge bob, glued the eyes, lashes, nose and teeth onto the foam. Cut out the mouth, glued on the eyes, lashes, nose, shirt, and tie. Purchased the brown shorts, white shirt and yellow sweatshirt, and bought white tights and dyed them yellow, bought white socks and colored the blue and red stripes.
Traced my grandson with newspaper, cut the material, stamped the purple paint, let it dry, cut out shorts, glued them on, zig zagged the material together, cut a straight line for a zipper, glued on the eyes. Put a bit of stuffing for the top of the starfish head.
