Family Group Costumes

It will be our 1st trip to disneyland for myself and my kids my husband has been before but it has been awhile. I wanted to do something special for the kids because we would be attending Mickey's Halloween treat. After many different ideas/arguments between the kids they finally agreed on pirates. I found some patterns and we went out all together and we found some cheap fabric at the Wal-mart about $1 -$2 dollars. And started to sew away. later i decided to applique a mickey pirate head for the boys and a minnie pirate for the only girl

the vest are all matching with a tan design and eyelets
the shirts for the boys are white with eyelets except for the 2yr olds his in the black and white material. The pants are in brown and tan my daughters skirt is in the same but alternating.. her top is a peasant top in red and white stripe. her bottom pettiskirt is red and white tulle strips
i would call this mickey's pirates

Costume Instructions
i just followed the patterns instructions, and became really close to my seam ripper , I decided to make all the vest the same and to make it special i appliqued the mickey heads and minnie. The shortcut that worked for me was to cut all the fabric patterns out all at once and finish one outfit at a time before starting a new one, by the time i was on the third outfit it was a piece of cake i could sew them in a hour tops..(without the kids interrupting) The appliques took a bit because they were my 1st attempt so the first one was a lil harder. i did alot of research online as to how to begin and then just did them..
