Family Group Costumes

My magician is wearing a star covered cape with "C.J. the Great" printed on the back. A mustache, wand, hat cumberbund, and bow tie finish off the look of the glittery magician. The magician's famous hat trick is complete with not only the bunny, but the whole hat as well. We actually see the bunny popping out of the hat. Now that is magic!

Costume Instructions
The magician costume was very simple, We startet with black pants and a white dress shirt. We added a red cumberbund and bow tie cut from the red felt. I cut red stars and the letters "CJ the Great" from the red foam I added glitter to the the stars and letters and then stuck them to the old dracula cape that we had from a previous year. A top hat and wand from an old magic kit were added and we drew a mustache on using an eyeliner pencil. Presto! The magician costume is done.
The bunny and his hat started with the gray sweatsuit that we added an oval of fake fur to. I cut out an oval and hotglued it on the the belly. I then constructed the ears by cutting out two gray ears, two slightly smaller white insides, and finally a pink center. I glued the ear pieces together and then hotglued the wire on the ouside in the back to give the ears some form. I hotglued them to the hood of the sweeatshirt. White socks and whiskers drawn on with eyeliner pencil completed the bunny, but now for the hat. I started by cutting a large rectangle and an oval for the brim from the posterboard. I hotglued the black felt to cover the posterboard. I shaped the rectangle into the hat shape and hotglued it on to the rim. The hat was done, but now we have to attach it to the bunny. I poked a whole on either side of the hat and pulled the silver ribbon through it. I tied it around the neck of my bunny. The hat was very lightweight and worked well for a whole night of trick or treating.
