Costume Materials
OPERATION GAME
box, red paint, yellow paint, silver and red electric tape, 6 5x5 cardboard pieces, white paint, sharpee pen, markers, modge podge, black wig, clown nose, face paint, red string, silver tongs, 2 inch strips of cardboard, peach paint, piece of white poster paper to make torso shape and glue gun
BARREL OF MONKEYS
2 pieces of thin foam 28x28, light green sheet, green paint, brite green duct tape, spray glue, clear adhesive film (for covering books) glue gun, computer and printer cardboard for monkeys, red oil pastel, green monkey hat (oriental trading) barrel of monkey game (for making errings and necklace) green clothes, velcro pieces
ACE OF SPADES PLAYING CARD
70x24 piece of white banner material (found at a recycling store), 2 pieces 35x24 black or white felt, white poster paper for 2 spades 17x 20, felt for under it (same size) computer, printer, spray glue, black paint, white paint, 2 pieces of black felt for hat (17x20) wire for inside hat, glue gun

Costume Instructions
OPERATION
1)cardboard box that fits child from above shoulders to above knees. 2)Find a bowl that will fit head and trace and cut out on top of box, 3) Cut a large square on bottom of box for legs to go through. 4) Find a smaller bowl to trace and cut out for arms to go through on both sides of box. 5) Paint top and sides of box with red paint. 6) paint front of box yellow and use red electrical tape all around outside front of box. 7) use white poster paper to draw body torso, cut out and paint peach. 8) for back of box, print out from computer the game box of operation (images on goggle search 500x300) next use copier to make into poster 4 pages. use spray glue to attach to back of box. 9) using game for reference hand draw 6 pieces (wish bone, adams apple, broken heart, spare ribs, butterfly, bread basket) onto peach torso. Cut out pieces and use silver tape around edges. Draw arrows and whole pieces next to the cut out pieces. Color all shapes in with markers and use sharpee around edges. Paint a thin layer of modge podge gloss over entire torso. 10) Take small 5x5 pieces of cardboard and draw the 6 items on each one. These will fit into the cut out hole that has the silver tape on. Paint each piece white. 11) Take small strips of cardboard 2 inch pieces and fold in half and glue on back of peach torso and front of box for reinforcement. 12) Put pieces of velcro on white painted shapes and on yellow box in the holes. 13) Attach red rope or pipe cleaner to top of box and at other end tie on silver tongs. You should actually be able to use tongs to remove velcroed white shapes. 14) Have child wear black wig and put on red clown nose. Use face paint black for eyebrows, red for lips and white for around eyes.
BARREL OF MONKEYS
1) Cut out large barrel shape with the 2 large pieces of foam. 2) Spray glue the foam and cut out green sheet to fit both barrels. 3)Paint cut green sheets with green paint. 4) Glue gun one side of the 2 barrels together. 5) use computer to goggle barrel of monkeys. Using color copier on printer enlarge letters to say barrel of monkeys into 3 page poster size. Cut out letters and glue onto front of one barrel. Cover the words with clear plastic adhesive 6) Use the brite green duct tape for the lines of barrel and for the edges of barrels 7) Put stips of velcro onto the side of barrel that is not glued together. 8) Make straps to put over shoulders to keep costume on with duct tape. Hot glue one side down to inside of barrel and use velcro for the other side. This will make it easy to get on and off. 9) Using copier, enlarge printed image of monkeys (find under goggle images barrel of monkey) make 5 monkeys. They are about 12 inches in size and cut out. Glue them to a thin piece of cardboard and cut out. use a cereal box. Next color 5 monkeys with red with oil pastel crayon and apply thin layer of modge podge. Attach 3 monkeys to front with wire and 2 monkeys to back of costume 10) use plastic monkey pieces from original game to make errings and necklace.
ACE OF SPADES
1)Fold white banner material piece 70x24 in half. 2) Cut out semi circle on each half at folded part. (this is where the head will go) 3) using black felt pieces, glue onto back of banner. 4) using computer, goggle ace of spades image and print out and enlarge to about 6 inches. You will need 4 a's and 4 ace shapes. Cut out shapes and glue to a piece of black felt. Paint the top of the paper with black paint. 5)spray glue to white banner the very top left side and very bottom right side. I had the same image on both sides . You could make one side look like the back of a playing card and make red or blue. 6) Using a poster size white paper hand draw 2 17x20 ace shapes. Use white and black paint to make intricate designs. Spray glue onto middle of banner. 7) Modge podge all shapes. 8) Take 2 felt ace pieces, cut a circle in center for head, stick wire in and hot glue together for hat.
