Costume Instructions
Used girls camisole red top and cut down to size. Added small straps to fit. Cut simple flair skirt using blue polyester type material in an "A" line pattern with 4 sections. Elastic waist. Iron on white stars on skirt. "WW" emblem on shirt is gold and black bias tape ironed on with iron on hem tape and then sewn into place. Belt and wrist cuffs are gold and silver belting purchased by the yard at a fabric store and held together with adhesive velcro. The gold lasso was a curtain tieback that was purchased on clearance and taken apart. An old pin from the 1980s holds lasso to belt. An old red cape from costume made years ago( approx 1 yard of material and 2 hook and eyes for closure). Cut 2 "L" shaped pieces of red vinyl and sew together to make boots. Tape off stripe with masking tape and use spray paint to make stripes. Elastic sewn to back of spats to hold into place. Foam crown from discount store, cut to the appropriate shape and spray painted gold. Star glued to top of crown. Approximate prep time: 3 hours, not counting time for paint to dry.
