"Puppies For Sale Costume"

Our puppies for sale cosyume was a huge hit everywhere we went, it won 3 different costume contests! It was so easy to make, we didn't have to purchase anything for it, it was made with items we already had. Super easy to put on/off and comfortable for him to trick or treat in!
Costume Instructions
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Costume Materials
*2 pieces of paper
*Some scrap newspaper
*Scrap ribbon (or rope/twine/string/fabric/etc)
*Stuffed animals
*Marker
*Animal Ears hat or headband
*Eyeliner pencil
*Tape (heavy duty)
Costume Instructions
2)Attach 2 stips of ribbon to the inside back of the box, measure on child to see how long the "suspenders" need to be. Criss-cross them across the back and then over the shoulders to the front of the box, attach to the inside front of the box. (Note-we tried several different ways of attaching and found the best was to poke a hole through the cardboard and pull the ribbon through, then knot the ribbon so it won't pull out.)
3)Using same method with ribbon (poke through cardboard and knot) make several loops on the inside edge to put stuffed animals through so they don't fall out.
4)Tape crumpled newspaper on the inside edge so that it is sticking out of box.
5)On paper write "Puppies For Sale", tape one to front of box, one to the back of the box.
6)Use eyeliner pencil to draw on a black nose and a circle around one eye.
7)Dress in coordinating clothing (we choose all black), put on your animal ears, and slide box over head allowing ribbon suspenders to rest on shoulders.
8) HAVE FUN!
