Costume Instructions

Costume Materials
White Shirt, Long Blue Skirt, White Ribbon, Red Ribbon, White Lace Trim, Black Straw Hat, Silk Daisies, Artificial Cherries, Glue Gun

White Gloves, Carpet Bag, Umbrella with Parrot Head Handle, Black stockings and shoes.

Optional: Black Coat, Knit scarf,

Costume Instructions
Take a plain white button down shirt and turn the collar to the inside leaving a small stand up collar. Sew white lace trim on the edge of the collar and down the front of the shirt several times.

Using red ribbon make a bow. Use velcro (or snaps) to attach the bow to the neck of the shirt.

Check thrift stores and buy (or make) a long blue skirt. Using white ribbon add two stripes down the front of the skirt.

Reshape (wet and stretch to desired shape) a black straw hat so the top is flat and the brim is wavy. Hot glue silk daisies and cherries to the brim.

Wear white gloves, carry a carpet bag (or cover a purse with floral fabric or cover a shopping bag with floral wrapping paper), and carry an umbrella with a Parrot Head Handle (take a regular umbrella and attach the head of a rubber toy parrot).

Wear black stockings, black boots or shoes and white gloves.

Optionally also wear a black overcoat, and knitted scarf.
