Every girl in the world has a favorite pair of FLIP FLOPS...my daughter became one for Halloween
Costume Instructions
Prep Time: 4 Hours
Costume Materials
3 types material - front \ back \ sides
Pipe wrap
Suspenders
Styrofoam
A lot of hot glue
Costume Instructions
1) Fist, have your child lie on a piece of cardboard and draw a shoe around her. Next trace around her head and cut out the face piece. Then trace a 2nd board out for the back of the shoe and cut out both pieces.
2) Lay the front (smiley face side material) on the front piece and trace it out next use solid black for the back.
3) Use a piece of styrofoam for stability on the bottom - hot glue both sides at the bottom of both pieces of syrofoam, making a semi box.
4) Next bend cardboard and mold it around the top of the shoe for stability. Hot-glue the curved cardboard to the top of the shoe on both sides.
5) Than hot-glue the material around the side and follow this with gluing the front and back material to the cardboard. Next, I cut out arm holes for her arms.
6) I then used pipe wrap for front of the shoe, cutting it in an angle and gluing it to the inside of the box. Next, I glued a flower to the top.
7) Finally I glued 4 pieces of cardboard inside and attached a pair of suspenders to go over the shoulders.
This was the best costume ever. My daughter loved the attention!!
