Costume Instructions
Using enough sequin fabric to cover around you and a little longer than the desired length, sew a seam up the back of the dress. Using safety pins, gather the fabric between your breast for a snug fit (if desired) and then also one on each of your sides (this will give you gathers in the tummy and shorten the dress, too). Stitch the fabric to keep the gathers and removes the pins. Stitch by hand the elastic sequin straps and the feathered boa onto the dress. I made two layers on the skirt area and a layer around the top. Keep in mind you do not want to pull the boa tightly onto the fabric, or it will make your dress TIGHT in that area. Keep it loose as you stitch it. Using sequin elastic I made arm bands and a head band. On the head band I sewed a feather piece (that I purchased near the boa's). I also made a matching black purse with leftover boa and a black handbag I already owned. Flashy jewelry, a beaded necklace, fish net stockings and black shoes finished the outfit.
