Easy-to-Make Halloween Costumes
This is a very easy "cut and paste" costume. You can use an overall with or without leggings depending on the weather conditions.
Costume Instructions
Prep Time: 2 hours (or less)
Costume Materials
1. Any color/fabric overall
2. Any color leggings (optional)
3. Any color long sleeves shirt
4. Fabric for "patches"
5. Felt for "patches"
6. Any color trim for "patches"
7. Yellow felt for "hay"
8. Hot glue gun and glue sticks
9. Straw hat
10. Autumn decorations for the hat and the overall (like leaves, a bird, little pumpkins or apples, etc)
Costume Instructions
For the "hay" in the overall, leggings and shirt:
Take the measurements of the neck of the shirt, the wrists of the shirt, the ankles of the leggings and bottom of the overall. Cut the felt in long stripes according to those measurements. The stripes should be at least 3 inches top to bottom. Glue the felt to the mentioned parts using only a small part of the top of the stripe, 1 inch or less of the felt. After the felt is completely dry, make cuts from bottom to top for the "hay" look.
For the "patches" in the overall:
Cut the fabric and/or the felt in the desired shape (squares, hearts, etc). (The fabric does not have to match the leggings)
Glue the patches to the overall and glue a trim around if desired.
If you have extra fabric for the patches you can also put some in the shirt or leggings. In this case we decided not to put extra patches because the leggings already had a print.
For the hat:
You can glue some "patches" and autumn decorations to the hat (small pumpkin or apple or orange/dark leaves)
