Easy-to-Make Halloween Costumes

My son decided he didn't want to be Diego and e had been looking up Elvis online with his dad, so we did a last minute costume from a basic white dress shirt and white pants, I painted the Eagle on the front and added red wedges to flare the legs and arms. The belt is made from gold wired ribbon, velcro, and a cardboard belt buckle. A toy guitar, eye shadow for side burns, and a little hairspray and we had baby Elvis!

Costume Instructions

Prep Time: About 3 hours

Costume Materials
White dress shirt, white pants, red fabric, scissors, needle and thread, acrylic paint, brushes, eye shadow, hairspray, toy guitar, patent leather shoes.

Costume Instructions
Remove buttons from dress shirt and overlap the button hole side with the plain side, secure with velcro. Draw on design and fill it in with acrylic paint. Cut off cuffs and add a wedged piece of red fabric to flare the arm. Do the same at the bottoms of the pants to flare them. Take a piece of ribbon and measure around the child's waist, place velcro where it needs to connect. Cut out cardboard belt buckle and add designs as desired, put velcro on the back and on the overlapped section of the belt to create the buckle. Draw sideburns with dark eyeshadow and a brush. Style hair up with hairspray to look wild. Add toy guitar and sunglasses to complete the look.
