Greatest inspiration: My mother, who raised 6 children almost single-handedly while owning and operating her home daycare business.

Favorite time of day: In the evening after baths, when every one is winding down and reflecting on their day.

Biggest fear: An accident or bad health befalling my children or husband.

Favorite part of getting older: Getting wiser and feeling more comfortable and happier with who I am.

Favorite thing to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon: Playing board games with my family in front of a cozy fire.

Favorite season: Winter! My family loves to ski and sled in the snow.

Favorite midnight snack or afternoon snack with kids: A bowl of sugary cereal. It's how my son and I end almostevery evening.

My philosophy of parenting: Mean what you say and say what you mean.

Nagging insecurity: That I'm not always the best mom I could be.

If money were no object... We would travel the world and embark on a new adventure every day.

Five things in my purse: Lego pieces, candy wrappers, used tissues from my son's perpetual runny nose, 8 chapsticks, and, if I'm extremely lucky, my debit card.

Best thing about my husband: He is the perfect child-rearing partner for me. We agree on parenting issues, which enables us to raise our children with consistency.

Biggest parenting challenge: Raising children who independently make the right choices.

TV mom I'm most like: On a good day - Florence Henderson from "The Brady Bunch"; On a bad day, Lois from "Malcolm in the Middle" :)

Most stressful holiday: Christmas. The expectations, and bills, are high.

Best advice I've ever given: Pick your battle with your children. You have to balance the "no's" with the yes's"

Least favorite household chore: LAUNDRY! I have nightmares of being attacked by overwhelming piles of dirty towels and underwear.

The most important thing I can teach my children: To love themselves.

The biggest lesson I've learned from my kids: They have taught me more than I could ever teach them. Yep.
