I made this tonight and it was a big hit! I did alter it a bit. I don't like onions, so instead I used 1 teaspoon of onion powder and used garlic powder instead of garlic salt, just because I didn't have any on hand. I used less cheese, just the regular sized bag that you would buy at the store and it came out fine, I also used 24oz of cottage cheese so that is probably why I was ok with using less mozzarella cheese. All in all it was a good filling meal that everyone enjoyed and it was very simple to prepare, even though it looks like a tricky dish!
