I made this with low carb pasta and it was still fabulous. I froze single serving portions and after nuking it still was as delicious as when served fresh.
Apparently most of the reviewers here don't agree with me, or the 468 other reviewers on Allrecipes.com (where it has a 4.7 out of 5 stars). None of my crew like ricotta, so this is a nice alternative (I prefer the tang of the sour cream to cottage cheese, another common substitution for ricotta).
Very tasty! The whole family loved it! I noticed one thing I noticed though was that there is no way this all fits in a standard 2qt casarole dish, I had to use a much larger pan. I also think that nect time I will try using riccota cheese in place of the sour cream.
