my family has always called it worms in dirt. You put gummy worms in the top layer. kids get a kick out of it.

I agree that the Nutritional Info for this recipe is alarming.
You can omit the butter (I see no reason for it anyhow), use FF cream cheese

I like the idea, but the calories and fat numbers are alarming. I DO LOVE that they listed the nutrition info, though!!!

I love this idea of this cake. I'm going to make it tomorrow.. My two boys will love it and it looks easy too..

Age definitely doesn't matter for this type of fun! I usually make something similar for halloween parties. Adding the gummy worms is a definite must.

How fun is this? I've used the dirt and worms before, but never in cake form or with the potted plant!! What a great idea! (and I love the nutritional facts listed right there for you)

I've made this a couple of times before. It's such a fun recipe. The only addition I'd make to what's listed above is a couple of gummy worms crawling out of the "dirt" for the final presentation. Kid love it.
