This light and refreshing dessert tastes remarkably like an orange creamsicle. What's more, it's low in calories and takes only moments to prepare! While juice from a carton is fine to use, you really can't beat the bright flavor of freshly squeezed oranges.
- Whisk orange juice, zest, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla in a large bowl until sugar dissolves. Whisk in milk.
- Pour into the frozen bowl of your ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's directions until sherbet is soft set, which takes about 20 minutes.
- Pour into a loaf pan or storage container, cover with plastic and freeze until firm, about 3 hours.
