Orange Sherbet

Hands-On Time: 10min

orange sherbet

This light and refreshing dessert tastes remarkably like an orange creamsicle. What's more, it's low in calories and takes only moments to prepare! While juice from a carton is fine to use, you really can't beat the bright flavor of freshly squeezed oranges.

  1. Whisk orange juice, zest, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla in a large bowl until sugar dissolves. Whisk in milk.
  2. Pour into the frozen bowl of your ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's directions until sherbet is soft set, which takes about 20 minutes.
  3. Pour into a loaf pan or storage container, cover with plastic and freeze until firm, about 3 hours.
