Marbled Brownie Bites

These delicious brownies are a gorgeous picnic treat that everyone will love. It's fun to get children involved helping you make these -- they will love swirling the two colors together to make the marbled effect.

1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line the two short sides and the base of an 8" x 10" (approximately) cake pan with baking parchment (if you leave a little overhang on the sides this will help you remove the brownie once it's baked).
2. Put the dark and white chocolate into separate heatproof bowls and divide the butter between them. Put each bowl over a pan of gently simmering water (making sure the bowls do not touch the water), and stir until the chocolate has melted. Set aside to cool slightly.
3. Whisk together the eggs, vanilla, sugar and salt in a bowl. Sift in the flour and baking powder, then fold together.
4. Stir half of this mixture into the dark chocolate and half into the white chocolate. Drop alternate tablespoonfuls of the batters into the pan. Swirl together using a skewer.
5. Bake for 20 -22 minutes until a crust has formed but the center still gives slightly when pressed.

6. Remove from the oven and cool completely in the pan. Lift the Brownie out of the pan, using the parchment. Cut into bite-sized squares and transport in a plastic container with a lid.
