golden fish sticks

Crushed cornflakes make a delicious coating for fish. If you like, you could add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Serve with homemade tartar sauce or just ketchup.

Ingredients

Tartar Sauce

Directions

  1. Put the cornflakes in a plastic bag, crush using rolling pin and spread out on a plate. Cut the fish into 6 strips and season with salt and pepper. Coat with the flour. Dip in the lightly beaten egg, then coat with the crushed cornflakes.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the fish for 3 to 4 minutes until golden and completely cooked, turning halfway through.
  3. To make the tartar sauce, simply mix together all the sauce ingredients. Serve with the fish sticks.
