Great for fooling friends or adding that certain 'ick factor' to your Halloween party, these super-easy Rotten Eggs will be a big hit.

Ready In: 55 minutes
Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

    12 large eggs
    various food colorings

Directions

  1. Hard boil eggs using desired method and cool.
  2. Combine food colorings to make an 'icky' color; blue and green work well for this.
  3. Gently crack hard boiled eggs, leaving shells on eggs. Cover with water and add food coloring.
  4. Let eggs sit in colored water for at least half an hour. Remove shells before serving.
