Homemade Pita Chips

Why make your own pita chips when you can buy them prepackaged? Fresh flavor. They're surprisingly little trouble to make, and perfect scoopers for a Spinach-Dip Bread Bowl, Enchilada Dip, or Silken Guacamole.

Hands-On Time: 10 minutes
Ready In: 20 minutes
Yield: 36 chips

Ingredients

    3 (7-inch) whole wheat pitas
Olive oil or olive oil cooking spray
    Kosher salt

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cut each pita in half, then split each half into two pieces.
  2. Brush or spray the rough side of each half with the olive oil, then stack the halves and cut into 6 wedges each.
  3. Arrange in a single layer on large baking sheet and bake 6 to 8 minutes, until browned.
